Privacy Policy
In this privacy policy we describe the collection, use, storage and sharing of personal information. When we write "you" we mean you as a costumer or potential customer. Personal information means information and assessments that can be linked to you as a person.
This privacy statement applies until the day Bank Norwegian launches its banking services in Germany / Spain. When Bank Norwegian launches banking services in Germany / Spain, this privacy statement will be replaced by a new privacy statement.
What personal information we collect
Personal information is in most cases collected directly from you or it is generated in connection with you using our services. Sometimes additional information is required to keep the information up to date or to check that the information we collect is correct.
We collect the following personal information:
- E-mail address
- Reading and action history from websites or electronic communication we send out.
Use of personal information and legal basis
Marketing of our services and products
When you provide your email address to us, we will inform you about our products and services, as well as relevant information related to this.
We will send you emails with information and we will also be able to use external advertising platforms such as Google and Facebook, where we can advertise to you. Matching in these platforms is done through email address.
Analysis, maintenance and development of our services
The bank processes personal data to assess the interest and need for new products and services, and to maintain and improve functionality in already existing products and services. We generally use anonymised data for such purposes. When using personal data, we always consider the principles for the protection of personal data. We can implement measures such as masking (contact information has been removed) or limiting the scope of data used (data minimization).
Your privacy rights
Processing your personal information safely and securely is central to our business. We use appropriate technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect information against loss, misuse, unintentional access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
As registered, you have rights related to the personal information we have about you.

You have the right to receive the information we have about you. Inquiries for access can be sent to our privacy representative at dpo@banknorwegian.no. - We do not give you the right to access information about anyone other than yourself. We also do not give you access to our trade secrets or documents intended only for internal case preparation.
- Right to correction:
You have the right to have us update information about you and correct any incorrect information. - Right to delete:
You have the right to delete information about you that we no longer have a basis for storing. - Right to data portability:
You have the right to access some of your personal information in a structured and machine-readable format. - Right to protest:
You have the right to protest that we no longer use information about you where this is based on a legitimate interest, unless our interest in the processing outweighs your interests. - Right to restrictions:
You have the right to limit how we use the information about you while a complaint is being processed.
If you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you can withdraw it at any time.
Your request to exercise your rights above will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that we may also retain and use your information as necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Bank Norwegian ASA is responsible for processing by the general manager. You can call our customer centre on + 47 23 36 16 99 if you want to change your privacy settings or withdraw your consents.
Bank Norwegian's privacy representative will, among other things, be a help to you as a customer. If you have questions about how we process your personal information, you can contact the privacy representative at dpo@banknorwegian.no.
If you believe that we are violating the privacy regulations or wish to complain about our use of your personal information for any other reason, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can provide answers and clarify any misunderstandings.
